The Falls at Blue Ridge | Eric and Meagan’s North Georgia Wedding

Eric and Meagan’s wedding was nothing short of magical! On August 24, 2024, they tied the knot at the stunning The Falls at Blue Ridge, surrounded by family, friends, and breathtaking views. I had the pleasure of being part of their special day, providing event management services to ensure everything ran smoothly. From the heartfelt ceremony to the lively reception, the day was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The Venue

The Falls at Blue Ridge, nestled in the beautiful mountains of Ellijay, Georgia, provided a picturesque backdrop for Eric and Meagan's celebration. With its lush greenery, serene waterfalls, and elegant spaces, the venue perfectly matched their vision of a sophisticated yet relaxed wedding day. The couple utilized various spots within the property, from the cozy bridal suite to the grand reception area.

Getting Ready

The morning began in the charming bridal suite, where Meagan, her bridesmaids, and close family members gathered to prepare for the day ahead. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as Katie Hayward, the hair and makeup artist, worked her magic. The ladies enjoyed a delicious breakfast provided by Meagan’s mom, Mary, as they donned personalized robes and shared stories and laughter.

Meanwhile, Eric and his groomsmen were getting ready at the Bowling Cottage, making sure every detail, from their cufflinks to their socks, was perfect. The camaraderie among the group was palpable, setting a joyous tone for the day.

The Ceremony

As the sun began to set, guests made their way to the ceremony site, greeted by the soothing sounds of classical music played by One Night Entertainment. The decor featured elegant gold planters and baby’s breath bundles, adding a touch of romance to the already beautiful setting. The most touching moment was Meagan’s entrance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” escorted by her father, Kevin MaGuire. The ceremony, led by Katie Curry (Sister of the Bride and Matron of Honor), was filled with heartfelt vows and a few happy tears, concluding with the joyful recessional to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You.”

Cocktail Hour and Reception

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a lively cocktail hour featuring signature drinks and a mouthwatering selection of appetizers, including lobster rolls and pork belly buns. The reception space, adorned with stunning floral arrangements by The Flower Garden, was a true reflection of Eric and Meagan’s style—elegant, welcoming, and full of personal touches.

The newlyweds were introduced as “Mr. and Mrs. Williams” to cheers and applause before sharing their first dance to Lady Gaga’s “Is That Alright.” The night continued with heartfelt speeches, a delicious dinner, and a lot of dancing! Guests enjoyed a delectable three-tier cake by Melissa’s Custom Cakes, alongside a variety of mini cannolis, which were a hit.

A Golden Ending

As the sun set over the mountains, the couple snuck away for some golden hour portraits with their photography - The Taylor’s Photography. This quiet moment amidst the whirlwind of the day was a beautiful reminder of the love they share. After sunset photos, the dance floor opened, and everyone celebrated under the stars until the final song played at 11 pm.

Eric and Meagan’s wedding was truly a celebration of love, family, and the start of a new chapter. It was an honor to be part of their journey and witness the joy and happiness of their special day. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Williams!
