Shelby and Marcus's journey began like many modern love stories, with a swipe on the dating site, Hinge. After a week of messaging, they finally met for dinner, and the connection was immediate. From that first date, their love story grew, leading them to their beautiful wedding day on April 13, 2024, at Conley Creek Events in the beautiful North Georgia mountains of Blairsville, GA.
Inspiration and Vision
Shelby and Marcus's wedding was inspired by a vintage gold and blue theme, reminiscent of the charming coastal “grandma” look. "Blue is my absolute favorite color," Shelby shared, "and with getting married in the spring, we picked different shades of blue that were not too dark." This color palette set the stage for a wedding that was both fun and classy, featuring vintage gold accents and a stunning white photo booth, bar, and beer wall to brighten the ambiance.
The Perfect Venue
The choice of Conley Creek Events was a natural one for Shelby. "The moment I saw Conley Creek, I started envisioning our wedding. I immediately started saying, 'Oh, we could do this or we could do that,' and my dad looked at me and said, 'Well, I think we know which venue you love.'" This beautiful North Georgia wedding venue offered the perfect backdrop for their special day, bringing Shelby's vision to life.
