The Love Story of Maggie and Connor

Maggie and Connor's journey to the altar was filled with moments of love, lots of laughter, and shared wedding dreams. They met in college and quickly became inseparable, bonding over their mutual love for outdoor adventures and cozy coffee dates. Their relationship blossomed over the years, leading to a heartfelt proposal during a tropical vacation. Their love for North Georgia made Southern Tree Plantation an obvious choice for their wedding, as it perfectly encapsulated the essence of their story.

Planning and Coordination

When Maggie and Connor reached out to me after seeing my work tagged by Cabin Coffee on the Blairsville Square, I knew this was going to be a special project. They entrusted me with every aspect of their wedding planning, from selecting vendors to coordinating the day-of details. We began with a series of meetings to discuss their vision, preferences, and priorities. Together, we curated a list of trusted vendors who could bring their dream wedding to life, ensuring that every detail, from the floral arrangements to the catering, was meticulously planned and executed.

The Theme - Blues and Whites

The theme of Maggie and Connor's wedding was a beautiful blend of blues and whites, creating a serene and elegant atmosphere. Hydrangeas played a central role in the décor, adding a touch of classic beauty to the setting. The bridesmaids wore stunning blue dresses that complemented the bouquets they carried. The reception tables were covered with blue and white linens, with centerpieces featuring hurricane vases and bud vase arrangements. This color palette not only reflected the couple's personal style but also harmonized perfectly with the natural surroundings of Southern Tree Plantation.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place under a charming arbor draped with hydrangeas and greenery. Maggie made her entrance down the aisle, her white dress contrasting beautifully with the vibrant blue hydrangeas. Connor waited at the altar with a look of pure joy, and as they exchanged vows, there wasn't a dry eye in the audience. The officiant, Connor’s father, delivered a heartfelt speech that highlighted the unique bond Maggie and Connor share. It was a deeply personal and emotional ceremony that set the tone for the rest of the day.

Connor's Surprise Haircut

One of the most unique elements of the day was Connor's surprise haircut between the ceremony and reception. This unexpected twist added a fun and memorable touch to the celebration. Guests were delighted and amused when they saw Connor's fresh new look as he and Maggie entered the reception. It was a testament to their playful and adventurous spirit as a couple.

The Reception

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a reception that seamlessly blended elegance and fun. The indoor space at Southern Tree Plantation was transformed into a magical setting with twinkling fairy lights and beautifully set tables. The menu featured a selection of local delicacies, ensuring that guests enjoyed a true taste of North Georgia. Maggie and Connor's first dance as a married couple was a highlight of the evening, followed by heartfelt toasts, laughter, and plenty of dancing. The night ended with a spectacular sparkler send off, a fitting finale to a perfect day.
